Called to the bar in 1971, Claude studied law at Université de Montréal in addition to completing a Master of laws (LL.M.).
He was a partner at the firm since its creation and has represented unions, employees and professionals from public, para-public and private sectors in certification, both provincially and federally, in negotiation of collective agreements and in grievance arbitration. Claude continues today some of his professional activities within the firm, particularly in the area of international labor law.
He has actively participated in the development and presentation of training programs related to labour relations and is often invited to speak at conferences. For the past few years, Claude has specialized in international labour law, economic integration and international cooperation agreements. He has organized and participated in a number of international tripartite conferences on these subjects.
Since 1998, he has coordinated the international labour rights committee of the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers (CALL).
He has been a retired advocate since December 2017.
